When a young, creative family from Brooklyn was wooed to Maryland by the promise of more room to spread out and the benefits of family nearby, they chose historic Ellicott City as their new home and entrusted our team with a comprehensive renovation. The goal was to preserve the charm of their new, 1987-old house while outfitting it for modern life and customizing it to suit their family's needs. With a bookworm and a filmmaker under one roof, the layout was re-imagined with cozy nooks for reading and movie-watching, a home office with functionality and style in equal measure, and other inviting spaces for the whole family to make a lifetime of memories together.
