AARON + ASHTON || ENGAGEMENT

“Year after year we turn to Stephanie Bradshaw and her dedicated team to help pull off our signature 'FashionEASTa' fashion show. It is tremendously reassuring to have such trust in the SB team’s professionalism and attention to detail, knowing that through the entire planning process we have a true partner and sounding board. We have a great respect for Stephanie’s vision, style and energy and look forward to future (successful!) collaborations.”

ABOUT
“Me and Ashton met at a Stephanie Bradshaw fashion show just last year. We were both modeling in the event and I remember noticing her as we both waited to take the runway, but we never had a moment to interact. As the show came to a close I saw her head to the elevator to leave, but for some reason I couldn’t let her go without stealing her attention, even if it was just for a minute. As she stepped onto the elevator to descend to the ground level I flew down the stairs and called the same elevator a floor beneath her. The doors opened, and there she was, my future bride to be and I had no idea. I stepped onto the elevator, we rode it down together, and some small talk ensued. Within moments the doors opened again and as she stepped out we had just enough time to exchange names right before the elevator closed once again (just like a movie haha). Turns out, our names were all we needed to find each other again. And it wasn’t long before we met up for a first date and it feels like we’ve been on that first date ever since.
The reasoning behind proposing at the 2018 Fashion-Easta fashion show has everything to do with our own personal love story. We met at the same type of show last year and the people who put on the production were the people who made our happy meeting a possibility. Stephanie Bradshaw and the wonderful people at Baltimore Bride are responsible for starting us on our journey together and we are so excited to have shared our engagement with the whole city of Baltimore in the same place where we met a year prior.”

“I remember being very calm before the show. I normally am before fashion shows, it’s something I have been doing for years so the nerves don’t really exist much anymore. I was closing the show this year and was supposed to wait at the end of the runway so everyone could get ready for the flood back stage. I remember standing at the end of the runway, the crowd cheering as they normally do and all of a sudden there was a shift. People started screaming “turn around.” I did and saw Aaron walking towards me. I remember being very confused. I had no idea what was going on, but when he spun me around, I just assumed that we were stealing the spotlight like we normally do. It wasn’t until he dropped to his knee that I realized what was happening. It was like the weight of the world had been lifted off my shoulders. My heart was racing, my hands were shaking, and I couldn’t help but cry. At that moment my legs went weak and I fell to my knees, we leaned on each other under the weight of the emotion. I remember thinking, “I hope he doesn’t try to put the ring on, my hands are shaking too hard.” Then he said the words “will you marry me?” and in that moment the crowd disappeared and all I saw was Aaron.”

“As the big day approached I felt the nerves start to take over. I knew she would say yes and I knew she was the woman for me, but I couldn’t stop the emotion from taking over. Just the thought of kneeling down and asking the most beautiful woman in the world to marry made my knees weak and gave my butterflies. The morning of fashionista I had never been more nervous in my life. Both me and Ashton are accustomed to the stage but this was a whole new level. Despite my nerves, everything was locked in and ready, the Stephanie Bradshaw team totally had my back to turn this fashion show into the proposal of the century! As the show started I felt a sense of peace wash over me knowing that everything was in place and ready. I couldn’t wait to ask Ashton the question that would change our lives forever. When I finally popped up on the stage behind her my heart started racing. When I kneeled and grabbed her hand I could barely hold myself up as a joyous wave of indescribable emotion washed over me. When she knelt down to meet me on my knees I teared up as a massive smile overtook my face and I whispered “I love you”. We met in Baltimore, we fell in love in Baltimore, we said our first “I love you’s” in Baltimore and we were so excited to share this life changing experience with the lovely people of charm city.”
