Last month we had the pleasure of producing and designing Baltimore Bride Magazine's first Aisle Style runway fashion show! The event process is a lengthy one and full of creative decisions. The SB team started by assembling a great group of vendor partners to bring our vision to life. The show would not have been possible without the support and hard work of the Four Seasons Baltimore,  Revolution Event Design and Production, Nature by Design, Fleur De Lis Florist, and of course Baltimore Bride Magazine.

Earlier this month we hosted our sixth Cake & Whiskey Hobnob with Alpha Graphics at the beautiful Mt. Washington Mill Dye House. We had a plethora of small bites, delicious mini cakes, and custom cocktails from Copper Kitchen. This was our largest event yet, with over 120 of Baltimore's talented women. With each event we are constantly taken aback by all the overwhelming support from not only our attendees, but wonderful vendor partners. We wouldn't be able to do it without all of you!

"Words can't ever begin to express my tremendous gratitude to you and your team for helping create the most wonderful wedding weekend I could have asked for. From the very beginning, I set my sights on your and I am so glad that I did. You are a true visionary and you helped make my dream come to life. Every perfect piece of the puzzle fit because of you and I am incredibly thankful to you and your hard work, time, effort, treks to Tulsa, smooth overs, and the list goes on and on! Thank you for sticking with us despite frustrations and the many opinions, changes, etc. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed getting to know you and am very sad that our event together is over, but I plan to keep in touch and hopefully will always stay connected. I feel you girls are like part of the family now! ... "

In December we hosted our fifth and last Cake & Whiskey Hobnob of the year with partners Alpha Graphics. The event took place at the Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore in Harbor East. With each hobnob we are consistently pleased by how many great women come out to support Cake & Whiskey. We have come a long way from our first event, held in our's and Alpha Graphic's studios. We transformed the room at the Four Seasons into a cozy space with rustic and woodland accents. The Four Seasons provided us with not only a wonderful space, but delicious bites. We featured two cakes and some darling mini pies from our friends at SugarBakers, LaCakerie, and Oh My Pie.

Another beautiful October wedding at Baltimore's own Maryland Science Center. Our bride has a thing for dinosaurs ... so what better place to tie the knot then under a T-Rex? We could not have been anymore delighted to plan and coordinate such a beautiful evening. From the rooftop ceremony with the Baltimore City skyline, to the 20 ft. custom painted stage backdrop - it was certainly a night to remember. Take a peek at all the stunning photos below.

We've been swooning over our couple, Chris and Kim's beautiful engagement session. The couple strolled through one of their favorite Baltimore neighborhoods, which served as the most romantic backdrop. Below is a little more from our bride-to-be Kim.
"Our photographer was Angela Newton Roy. While we were searching for a photographer, we came across Angela's photos and they instantly stood out to both of us. Her photos had such a classic and dreamy style, which is exactly how we pictured our own wedding day. After meeting Angela in person, we knew it was the perfect match. She is so sweet and professional, she made us feel comfortable right away.

"The best advice I was given when thinking about planning our engagement photos was to do something fun that we enjoy doing together and it will help make the photos that much more natural and easy going, instead of cheesy or uncomfortable which I know a lot of couples fear.  We love visiting new places, especially when wine is involved- we spent our engagement weekend celebrating in Napa Valley, so I thought having our engagement photos taken on a vineyard would be a nice way to tie it all together.  Michael & Carina recommended Charlottesville to us and I highly recommend a weekend trip down there!  We stayed at a cute B&B, visited vineyards, had delicious farm-to-table meals and even got a history lesson when we visited Thomas Jefferson's home! The town is absolutely adorable, the vineyards are beautiful, and the wine was great.

We'd really like to take a second to thank those who made our website photo-content possible. We took the day and pooled all of our resources to create some beautiful art at the BMA, and we were not disappointed! As always, these types of projects are never possible without the support of amazing vendor partners and we are forever thankful. It's always nice to have these folks in your corner...

Another beautiful fall wedding, this time coming from the stunning grounds of Baltimore's Cylburn Arboretum. When Jennifer and Phil came to us, we jumped at the opportunity to help plan and coordinate details for their September celebration. Phil, a local restaurateur, was tasked with being both the groom AND the caterer for their wedding - a difficult task for any man, which resulted in a beautiful spread of food fit for a king (and queen)! A special thanks goes out to the entire Dooby's crew for pulling together and putting forth a definite 'team effort' - Cheers!

“A touch of equestrian and all white”, were the words our bride, Molly, used to first describe her vision when planning for her big day. The venue, a horse-racing farm nestled in the hills of northern Baltimore County. It was the perfect setting for Molly and William’s wedding. Our team transformed the private estate into an all white, tented, black-tie affair that truly was a magical experience for not only the bride and groom, but for their family and friends alike."

For the past several months we have been working on the revamp of one of our neighboring spaces. We're excited to finally share the transformation of this beautiful space and the creation of a stunning creative studio. When Lee Morton, leader of Clickspark and Mozell Films, came to us all he had was a vast open space and a vision. As a team we have been able to completely overhaul the space and turn it into a full functioning creative studio, with all the quirks that make up the Clickspark and Mozell brand. We're so excited to welcome them into the building and to have been a part of building their studio. Check out the transformation below!

We are excited to finally share the beautiful photos from the event we were apart of a few weeks back, ILLUMINATE LOVE + LIGHT FOR MELISSA. As you may recall, we recently collaborated with Shine Creative for the overall design of their fundraising event for Melissa Kirby, Shine's founding partner, on-going recovery. More then 200 people came out in support to the Clipper Mill Pool and the night was nothing short of amazing. We filled the space with hand made, one of a kind dreamcatchers and hundreds of candles which lit up the space. Each dreamcatcher was sold following the event and all proceeds were donated to Melissa's recovery. Over $25,000 was raised during the event through ticket sales and the silent auction! We are so pleased to have been apart of such a special event and to have been able to create such a dreamy space. Check out all the stunning photos below!

This past June we had the pleasure of planning the most beautiful garden themed wedding for Erica and Andrew. This wedding was extra special to the SB Team as we had previously planned the bride's borther's wedding, which was held at the same venue, The Four Seasons Baltimore. The cocktail hour was held in one of The Four Seasons waterfront spaces. The focal of the room was a stunning 14 foot tree that was covered in fresh florals, including hanging amaranthus, white hydrangea, and beautiful white Sahara roses. Hanging from the tree was a swing that held the couple's ombre blue wedding cake. For the reception, the Four Seasons ballroom was transformed into a breathtaking fairy tale garden. The head and family tables each had magical trellis' built over them with branches and vines. They were decorated with fresh greens and florals and hanging votives with delicate tea lights. The space was nothing short of amazing! Over the dance floor were strung bistro lights which made it feel as if you were under the stars. See all the stunning details below!

We were so excited to collaborate with them for one of our most recent weddings. They laser etched a stunning seating chart for our couple, Erica and Andrew, that took our breath away! The design was done on a piece of beautiful cherry wood with delicate floral detailing. For the wedding day, we topped it off with some fresh florals, adding the perfect finishing touch.  Take a look at the custom piece below!

Back in May we had the pleasure of planning James & Jenny's lovely spring wedding. Both the ceremony and reception were held at St. Paul's School in Brooklandville, Maryland. The reception was held in the school's cafeteria, which presented quite the challenge. Our team was able to transform the space and overall feel, making it almost unrecognizable. The color scheme was light and fresh, accented with beautiful seasonal cherry blossoms. Throughout both the ceremony and reception there were many multicultural aspects that made this event unique, including a Korean program and a traditional Korean Paebaek ceremony. To top off the couple's special night we had a stunning sparkler send off with all the couple's guests! Take a look at all the beautiful photos below!

Last month we partnered with Harbor East for a fourth year to produce the annual FashionEASTa Fashion Show.  While the excitement that filled the shops and streets that day was contagious there is a different kind of buzz that takes over the backstage arena.  This year we are recapping from inside the tent to show you the magic that goes on behind the scenes. To see more photos of the event check out the full album on Harbor East's Facebook page (here)!

Earlier this month we threw our third Cake & Whiskey event with our partners Alpha Graphics. The event took place at Blue Pit BBQ and Whiskey Bar in our very own neighborhood of Hampden. Since our first event, back in October, we have built quite the guest list. This was our biggest event yet and we couldn't be more pleased with the variety of inspiring women that attended. We transformed the upstairs of Blue Pit into a rustic spring time affair. Blue Pit provided not only delicious whiskey cocktails, but also several barbecue items from their menu for guests to enjoy! And it wouldn't have been a Cake & Whiskey event without a cake --- we featured a Honey Bourbon cake with chocolate ganache frosting from one of our favorite Mt. Vernon spots, Dooby's! We are beyond thrilled how much this event has taken off since the start and have already begun planning for the next! Stay tuned for our recap of the next event which will be hosted at Charm City Skin.

First comes love, and then comes the engagement. A few months ago, John reached out to us to help plan his romantic proposal to the love of his life, Corey. In addition to the actual wedding planning, it is always a pleasure for us to be apart of the process from the very start. The proposal took place at the Bond Street pier in Baltimore's Fells Point on a perfect spring evening. Corey loves the color lavender, so John wanted the space filled with hundreds of fresh lavender rose petals. We made his vision come to life with a beautiful display of petals in the shape of a heart, surrounded by dozens of candles. If you didn't guess already she said YES! Take a look through all the gorgeous photos below to see inside Corey and John's magical proposal!

"I met up with Molly and William a few weeks ago for their engagement session. Molly went to College of Charleston, so we started downtown for a few photos and then headed out to Kiawah, where William proposed to Molly a few months ago. They even shared a little celebratory champagne on the same porch where they were engaged! And then we headed out to the beach for a few photos and a couple twirls on the sand (there was actually a jazz concert on the lawn behind us, although it looked like we had the beach to ourselves!) I am excited to head up to Baltimore next September for Molly and William’s wedding at Sagamore Farm with Stephanie Bradshaw."

If you follow along with us you might remember our spectacular Miami wedding we planned back in March. The event was nothing short of amazing from the beginning to end. The ceremony and reception took place at The W South Beach on a warm spring Saturday. This wedding was extra special to the SB team as both Christina and Ethan are dear friends of Stephanie's. The day could not have been anymore perfect, not even a huge Miami thunderstorm could ruin the special event. The ceremony took place in one of The W South Beach's event spaces, which was decorated with amazing modern gold chandeliers. The reception was held in the W's ballroom and was the perfect mix of modern with a touch of glamour. The room was covered in soft blush, black, with delicate metallic accents. It was absolutely breathtaking. It was lit with soft candle light, which emphasized the gobo with the couple's initials. One of the most unique aspects of the reception was the groom's cake. The groom is a huge fan of Lionel Richie, so what could have been more fitting than a life-size cake of the star's head? Take a look at all the amazing details of Christina and Ethan's special day!
